50's 8/10/Pennant Late Gear Lever Reconditioned Exchange

In terms of the parts book, the "Gear Lever" on 50's 8/10 cars is the short section that fits into the gearbox top not the long shaft or " Gear Lever Extension" which has the Gear knob on the end. 

On Late Gearboxes the Gear Lever has the pinch bolt for the extension built in and has a small bush secured by peening the end of the shaft that fitted into the selector mechanism. Over time these bushes wear away and engaging gears becomes more and more difficult.

Thanks to the efforts of our Chief Engineering Officer the Club is now able to offer an answer to this problem in the form of a reconditioned Gear Lever sold on an EXCHANGE ONLY basis.

These have been tested on independent member's cars and found to be a satisfactory solution.

The actual cost of these Gear Levers is £20.00 plus VAT. However the price shown when you order will include Shipping at our standard rate, a refundable deposit of £40.00 and VAT.
