Standard 8 and 10 Late Steering Box Shaft - Repair Kit
NOW OUT OF STOCK
For the earlier shaft please see a separate item
This is the long steering shaft that passes through the Steering box.
It fits late Standard 8/10, Pennant or Companion fitted with a Burman Douglas Box. If the shaft or bottom bush is worn, the Club has now developed a solution that comprises a new shaft, new bush, Oil seal and new droparm. All at an attractive price.
The original box has a shaft that is parrallel over its whole length but replacement shafts are not available. The Club's solution is to use an available earlier shaft with a new bush and oil seal. Because the earlier shaft has a smaller splined end it is also neccessary to include an earlier drop arm in the kit
The bush and new oil seal are manufactured for the Club, the shaft and droparm are new old stock. It will be neccessary for you to drive out the old bush
Whilst we do not have a solution for wear in the worm and nut, this solutiuon will at least remove the wear in the bottom bush.
Three piece kit is priced at £72.00 LIMITED QUANTITY When they are gone they are gone
