Spin On Oil Filter Adaptor Kit for pre48 cars

This kit contains all the components you need to replace the Oil Filter, which was fitted, amongst others, to 1934-6 Standard 10 and 12 , Flying 9s and Flying 10s. It is not a substitute for Teclamit filter bowls on the side of the engine pf Prewar and Poistwar 12 and 14

The original fitting was an AC ZR1 Canister or equivalent, connected to the block by go and return pipes. These filters have not been manufactured for sometime now and are increasingly rare. They can demand high prices at Autojumbles or on Ebay. Another problem is that it is not possible to see the interior condition of new old stock, which may well be over 60 years old. Cans that have been cut open have proven to be rusty inside, or the filter element has disintegrated. We therefore do not sell New Old Stock Filters at all, but offer this modern substitute

This Replacement Kit solves the problem in a one off fashion by providing an adapter plate for the oil feed and return pipes to screw into, the other side allows a commonly available modern "Spin-on" filter to be fitted. The new filter fits into the existing clamp and there is no requirement to alter the pipe configuration.
