Thermostat Housing, Flying Standards

The original housing contained an integral thermostat and is difficult to replace. Many housings are now corroded and leaking

This brand  new part fits the whole Flying Standard Range, wherever a thermostat is fitted, that is some Flying 10, all Flying 12, Flying14, Flying 16 and Flying 20.

The casting in in Aluminium LM27 and has been hardened. It is machined on the inner lip to accept a modern thermostat (now available seperately) 2 holes are drilled where the mounting bolts pass through into the cylinder head. There are two other holes, one is a spout for the bypass hose, the other is taped internally 3/8" BSP for the Temperature gauge sensor. We also now supply a brass fitting for this thread, at one end and the temperature sensor at the other ( not illustrated)  If your car has no sensor, just reuse the 3/8ths blanking plug you already have.

There are 2 variants of the casting:

Option 1: This has two drilled and tapped holes at an angle, intended for a bracket to hold an air cleaner Price £98.40

Option 2:  The two holes are not drilled or tapped for a car where the air cleaner is not secured in this manner  Price £93.60
