50's 8 and 10 Interior Door and Window Handle Escutcheon Tension Spring.
Description
Currently Unavailable
These are the conical coil springs that are located over the Door Lock and Window Winding spindles between the Inner Door Skin and the Door Card intended to push the Escutcheon Plates outward to cover the shafts of the Handles and retain the Roll Pins.
A number of recent restorations have shown that the original factory installed Tension Springs are, inexplicably, extremely strong not only making the removal of the Handles a difficult task but also damaging the Door Card and flattening the original escutcheons.
These new UK made Springs are identical in size and shape to the original but are not as heavy and whilst ensuring that the Escutcheons remain in place will not damage the Door Card or Escutcheon and be much easier to compress to fit and remove the handles.
Two required per door. Prices shown are inclusive of VAT. Shipping charges added at Checkout.
